Inspired by the novel The Baron in the Trees by Italo Calvino, filmmaker Karel Doing places himself as the protagonist of this escapade into unseen ecologies. The secret medicinal properties of plants are shared, along with their peculiar characteristics. Trees, leaves, flowers and soil all come to life in Doing’s signature “phytographic” technique. Screened on 16mm.
